Week 6 Prompt

An Innovative Way to Promote Romance Books at the Public Library

Dear Manager,

I was scrolling through Pinterest and came across two librarians display to promote romance books. With your permission, I would like to create displays similar to these. Hartman’s display is for the patrons who may not have a significant other at the moment. While Kinkley’s display is fun and intriguing. I have left over plain red wrapping paper from the Christmas display that I could use to wrap the books.

Thanks for your input,

Jennifer Miller

  1. Love the appeal of using leftover supplies as a way to convince your manager. Gotta love reusing stuff! :) I also like the love gone wrong display, as you said, not everyone wants to read a happy love story so that could potentially appeal to a wider audience. I saw a display somewhere that was "love stories for cynics"...seems like that one would pair well with yours as well!

  2. Hello! These are some great ideas. Blind date with a book is a really popular one at my library. We're actually just finishing that one up. This year. we chose to focus on all different kinds of "romance" from traditional to obsessive, LGBTQ, unconventional stories, and even some spicy titles.

  3. These are both good ideas, but your response to this prompt is definitely on the short side.
